Mobile World Congress has officially wrapped up, and we had boots on the ground to discover the coolest technology showcased in Barcelona. It’s 2025 so naturally, one of the biggest topics of the show was AI. Being the Gadgety Awards, we were on a mission to find the coolest devices that were shown off, and a good amount of them had some level of artificial intelligence. There’s no doubt about it: AI is the future, and you’ll find it in everything you use in the near future.
AI isn’t the only qualifier for an award from us. We sifted through the most intriguing, ground-breaking, and innovative gadgets at MWC and have awarded the best of the best, all thanks to our expert panel of judges who have decades of experience in the technology industry.
Here are the Gadgety Awards for MWC 2025!
Smart glasses have become increasingly popular over the years, and one of the most interesting new models at MWC was the BleeqUp Ranger. The glasses are designed for cyclists who want to record high-quality video on the go. They come with a sporty design and a UV400 rating for protection, as well as an IP54 rating. There’s a built-in 1080p video camera that can record for hours on end, AI-powered video editing that’ll stitch together all the important moments during your trip, built-in open-ear headphones with a walkie-talkie, onboard navigation, hands-free voice controls, and more. With so much tech in these shades, they shined bright in Barcelona.
A cutting-edge startup called CIT was present at MWC, and it showed off its impressive Dolphin transparent wireless antenna. The automotive antenna is 1,000 times thinner than traditional circuits while improving signal reception by 20 percent, which is a big deal. It’s a lot more heat tolerant than other antennas as well, and it can be attached to glass and plastic surfaces so you get the best signal on things like cars, smart office buildings, wearable technology, and more.
Keotech made a splash this year with Keocam, a personal dashcam that can be used in your everyday life. Simply clip it to your shirt and it’ll record one-minute clips of important events during the day, which can help keep you safe in the event of an emergency. It backs up all the clips it captures to your phone and the cloud, and it supports live GPS as well as emergency contact notifications. It’s also lightweight, IP57 rated for dirt and water protection, and costs less than $150.
Lenovo always shows off something crazy at trade shows, and this year for MWC, the company had this to offer: a 13-inch laptop that can flip open to reveal a huge 18.1-inch display. Called the ThinkBook Flip AI PC Concept, the laptop has a big screen that’s folded in half on the outside of the lid. You can unfold it whenever you’d like and Windows will automatically react and expand the amount of screen real estate you have. It also comes with an illuminated trackpad that doubles as a keypad. It’s a crazy concept that won’t be coming to market anytime soon, but who’s to say whether we see something like it in the future?
It’s always important to keep your pet safe, and SATELLAI wants to make it easier than ever with its new Tracker. It’s the world’s first always-connected pet tracker powered by satellite technology. It uses GPS and satellite positioning systems across 180+ countries to locate where you pet is at all times and show you where they are. The tracker has built-in AI functionality to monitor activity patterns so you know if your furry friend is having any issues, and it recharges with solar technology.
Mobile World Congress is notorious for being center stage for some crazy smartphones, and the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra is no exception. This ultra-durable phone comes with a rugged exterior, a big screen, fast performance, and an advanced cooling system to keep everything chill. There’s also a tiny secondary screen on the back that can show you information when your phone is face-down. The real kicker? Ulefone also packs in thermal cameras so you can capture thermal images on the go, which is especially helpful during nighttime adventures. It’s a crazy concoction of hardware and software, and it has Gadgety written all over it.
Tecno went big at MWC this year, and one of its most notable announcements was the new Camon 40 Premier 5G. It’s the company’s latest flagship smartphone, boasting a big OLED display, a fast MediaTek chip, and a sleek design. It also comes with a high-end 50MP Sony LYT-701 camera sensor, which means you’ll get extra light and detail in your photos with fast shutter speeds. It also comes with Tecno’s suite of AI features like Call Translation and AI Eraser 2.0. Plus, there’s a 5,100mAh battery so you won’t have to worry about it dying before the end of the day.
Lenovo’s concepts at MWC didn’t stop with the flipping laptop. It also announced the Yoga Solar PC Concept, and it’s exactly what you’d think it is: the laptop can charge via solar panels. Lenovo built a handful of them into the lid, and they can convert sunshine into energy at today’s highest standards. Approximately 20 minutes of sitting in the sun can give you an hour of battery life, which means you could use it in the sun all day and it won’t drain. It’s also a full-fledged Yoga laptop, complete with high-end specs and a beautiful screen. Whether this technology comes to market is unclear, but it’s amazing to see it in action.
